Youto Inform is an independent gazette for visitors to Iceland. It is not a desk, a tour, or a broker. We do not take advertising. We do not recommend businesses in exchange for anything. The pages are researched from official notices, standard histories and standing in the weather.
Why Youto
The name is ours. The beat is the island as it is used. Towns on a ring. A tunnel that replaced a pass. F-roads that are a different class of road. Weather as the thing that actually decides the day.
How a page is made
Each article starts with a place you can stand in. We prefer a date, a name and a measurement to an adjective. Icelandic toponyms keep their letters. Where a figure moves, a road opening, a coach time, we point to the operator instead of freezing a number here.
Photographs
Every photograph comes from Wikimedia Commons, stored on our own server, with the author and licence listed on the image credits page. We do not hotlink Commons. We do not use generated pictures.
